Müyesser is the older of the sisters. She is in her early 70's. She has never been married. She is the dominant character of the house. She is the one who runs the house and her sister Zeliha. It is Müyesser's job to do the rough work of the house, to go out shopping, to carry the gossip from the outside to the house, to quarrel with the neighbor.
