The Harpswell Incident

It's the 1980s and a pyrrhic peace has been settled across America following a brutal civil war. In its aftermath, Virginia has come under the oppressive rule of an authoritarian regime known commonly as "the State." In a quaint mountain town on the fringes of Appalachia, panic spreads as some claim that their community is being stalked by a terrifying monster. The formidable State orders an investigation and sends the impressionable Inspector Ellis to quell the unrest. However, Ellis' morals are called into question as he meets a young girl, Karli - who claims to have seen the monster - but also has been colluding with her school teacher to plan a mass demonstration to expose the State for its tyranny.
