Crossing Acheron (2021)

A woman wakes up to a call from an automated AI informing her that her upload has been approved and she has a three hour window in which to accept. She hurries from her apartment and travels through a plague-ridden Brooklyn as she decides whether to follow through. The automated calls become more urgent. She reaches a bridge and decides to initiate the upload. She disappears from the physical world and is reconstituted in a digital realm where she meets her deceased mother.
