The Year of Innocence (2020)

Set in contemporary rural China, Rain (Liang Yongni), a young married woman, takes her own life after she was interrogated by the police about her past. She was slandered for trading sex for money when living in the city. The widowed husband (Su Hao) embarks on a journey to uncover his deceased wife's past. He slowly learns about the course of Rain's life in the city through people who knew her-once a naive woman from a small village, Rain was gradually engulfed in the urban life with the promise of money and comfort.
