The Secret of Cobb Creek

John Logan asks Dale Fisher, the head of the English Department at the University of Kentucky, how his job search is coming along. Dale replies that there are no job offers out there. His tells him that his sister Susan. who runs a new elementary school in Pikeville, has just lost a teacher there unexpectedly. As an English scholar, Mr. Logan has to adapt to new cultural norms when he arrives to teach the children how to compose their own poetry despite their poverty and lack of education.
