Extremely disturbing, unsettling, and depressing.

Nearly every scene depicts some form of violence and/or gore, however not in any realistic sense but rather in a feverish nightmare type aspect. Note that the film is made primarily using stop motion animation with some elements containing live actors. Hence the film does not portray very realistic violence. That said, some images may be disturbing especially when depicting cruelty and especially what would be considered torture.
