A fictional account of the events of 19 April 1973 when a host of women delegates from the Scottish Trade Union Congress - which was holding its annual conference in Aberdeen and debating the Sex Discrimination Bill - "invaded" the pub across the road, the Grill, which had been a men-only bar since 1923 when landlord John Innes affixed a sign to the door stating "No Ladies Please". The women demanded to be served and held a sit-in when landlord Ted Watson declined them. The police were called and the women eventually left, but they had made their point.
