Between 1996 and 2002, paramilitary groups broke into the region of Guamocó, located on the border of the departments of Antioquia and Bolivar, Colombia. They terrorized miners, peasants and other settlers in the region. The confrontation of these groups with the guerrillas, who had been inhabiting the region since the 80s, caused fear, death and displacement of the people of Guamocó. Ten years later, some inhabitants share the memories of their lives under conflict in one of the most geographically strategic areas of the country.
