A real-life Alaskan adventure filmed in Ultra Wide-Screen CinemaScope. Something different in Nature-Wildlife films, with never before filmed scenes of wild animals and breath-taking scenery. Sound-on-film takes you there in person to share the excitement of a man, Merlin "Mac" Chesney, and his nephew, 12-year-old city boy Jeff Bridgewater, making the first ground-level survey of wildlife in the Alaskan Wilderness. It takes the viewer through a year of seasons, beginning and ending with winter, with the pair's wilderness experiences sandwiched in between. Made in cooperation with the Kenai National Moose Range and the U.S. Department of the Interior.
