Camera spends 12 consecutive hours in the intimate company of a young Los Angeles social media influencer, played by a real-life social influencer, Woan Ni Wooi. She begins the day with the removal of a small mole on her neck - the biopsy results from which she will get 12 hours later. We follow her from appointment to appointment as she encounters colleagues, coworkers, friends and family. Her sudden awareness of her mortality has brought with it a changed perspective on her young and privileged life. This becomes especially clear near the end of the day, as she feels increasingly anxious before her biopsy results. Her final session is with an analogue photographer, a man who asks her gently probing questions, as he senses that she is tense and going through something profound, just beneath her passively beautiful surface. Film examines our contemporary culture's obsession with image and our increasing dependence on technology.
