Joachim and the Apocalypse

What drives a man to leave everything behind and take up a monastic life? We are in the Middle Ages and terrible epidemics are devastating the world. There seems to be no salvation but to go in search of spirituality. After a trip to the Holy Land with the Crusaders, Joachim, son of a wealthy family, decides to change his life. He returns to Italy and enters a Cistercian Monastery where he receives the tonsure, a true ritual that projects man into the divine world. Joachim has several supernatural experiences and in his dreams he meets.
