In the context of screen adaptations, the documentary discusses the prolific literary work of UK author and Professor, David Lodge, and considers via interviews conducted by BBC broadcaster, Adrian Goldberg, the multi faceted approach that David Lodge has taken to screen adaptations. His own work has been adapted for television (for example, by himself, 'Nice Work') and others (for example, Howard Schuman, the drama series for Channel 4, 'Small World'), whilst David Lodge has also adapted for BBC classic Dickens novels (for instance, 'Martin Chuzzlewit'.)
