Bobbie and Jim are hinted to be starting to have feelings for each other, but this is portrayed in an entirely innocent way.

Mother warns the children not to walk on the railway line, but relents after being asked whether she did at their age and admitting that she did. However, it would be very dangerous in real life and should indeed be discouraged.
