The violence is fairly tame for the rating most of it is offscreen or isnt very graphic its honestly more PG-13 then the first one
A man is shot in the throat while speaking in mid-sentence and a torrent of blood issues from his throat as he dies. Very upsetting to watch as he seemed to be one of the more honorable characters.
Probably the worst scenes of violence come from two beatings, Harvey vs the assassin and Catwoman vs Harvey. Harvey beats the man and blood is seen. This is until Harvey is kicked in the stomach and then the face knocking him out. Catwoman takes a pistol and starts to pistol whip Harvey with it. His face bleeds and swells.
Jim and Maroni are in a car crash which gives Jim a bleeding wound on his head.
Two-Face briefly fights Gordon and Batman. He slams Batman face first into a brick wall and hits Gordon in the face with his rifle.
What really pushes the R rating is the beatings and some of the violence. There's only one scene that sticks out where a man is shot through the throat but that's really it. The rest of the violence occurs and then you see the people in a pool of blood.
Towards the beginning of the movie, Bruce is injected with a fear toxin. He goes back to the alley where his parents died. Martha and Thomas Wayne are seen briefly laying dead in the alley surrounded by blood. However, Thomas is the only one with a visible bullet wound.
