Ironic and witty reversal of the classic Don Juan motive, set in the English upper class ca. 1900. Here, the amorous initiative is taken by the modern woman Ann, who is prepared to use all means to chase the man she has chosen. However, John believes that marriage and carnal desire are both superfluous and only intended to secure future generations. TV adaptation of Shaw's 1903 stage play.
