Between the Earth and the Sky (2023)

The characters live in a world where reincarnation exists, but is capitalized on. As animals, Wendel and Stanley spend Wendel's last day, unbeknownst to Stanley, in the afterlife together doing some of their favorite things. Wendel eventually overcomes his fear of telling Stanley of death, but Stanley still finds out the hard way.
