After Her Smile (2022)

AFTER HER SMILE is a drama about the turbulent growth of Justin, an aimless singer-songwriter meandering in limbo. As Justin moves in with Mary, the combination of Justin's financial struggles and Mary's expectations makes Justin doubt if they are meant to be. The relationship is further threatened by a chance encounter with a train passenger (Tanya) that shows interest in Justin and gives him a new-found excitement. After a fight with Tanya's ex-boyfriend, Justin embarks on a forced detour during which he cannot signal for help and must deal with a multitude of familiar characters ranging from a radical environmentalist to a right-wing extremist. A detour that morphs into an unexpected rite of passage before entering adulthood.
