Directed by Edu Felistoque and Erik de Castro, written by Erik de Castro, the film "Amado" was inspired by a true story. Amado is an honest military police officer from Ceilândia, who does more than he should. It arrests, judges and executes sentences to the detriment of criminals, cutting corners and becoming more agile than the official bureaucratic process. Blind to color, creed or sex, it doesn't matter if the individual is a thief or a policeman. Cabo Amado is a controversial figure: is he a victim of the system? A killer, a villain or some sort of hero? The truth, however, is more complex than just labels, and its only purpose is to resolve unfair conflicts, without delay, and "doing the right thing" - even if it means killing.
