Chavittu (2022)

A theatre troupe prepares for its performance for the annual day celebrations of a residents' association in a small town in Kerala. They arrive at the venue early, rehearse their piece, and put finishing touches to the scenery. This alternates with atmospheric scenes of men rehearsing, singing, and perfecting choreography at a remote location in nature. When evening has come at last, the festivities begin, theatre slowly starts filling and various acts are performed and speeches are given and after a long tedious wait, the troupe finally stand in the spotlights.
