One summer evening, in early 1950s America...a dying woman struggles to carry on her late father's tradition of hosting a holiday soirée; a traumatized veteran finishes construction of a makeshift bunker in his basement; a gambler bandleader narrowly escapes a hit on her life, botched by a conflicted jazz musician and misunderstood barkeep; while an iron-willed academic finds herself in a whirlwind elopement with a gentle life insurance salesman...all inevitably and mysteriously teleported to Château de Connerie by forces beyond their control... Dirty Rhetoric is a multi-genre narrative divided into three chapters: Betrayal of Bea, Rhapsody of Ruth, and Erudition of Elizabeth. The entire action of this story is continuous and follows three distinct groups of unlikely party guests as they navigate survival, their roots, and understanding the unknown as it unfolds right in front of them.
