Stranger Within (2022)

A young man, Cole, sends out a letter to his father, stands at the edge of a bridge over a waterfall and attempts to commit suicide, however, he doesn't go through with it. He goes to a cafe to clear his head when he is met with a friendly old man. The old man tries to start up a conversation but Cole ignorantly gets up to leave. Before he leaves, the old man tells him he comes to the cafe every Sunday. Cole arrives in his messy apartment and calls his father to tell him what he attempted. However, his father would not listen and thought Cole is a lazy failure because of his depression. In his darkest moment, he decides to meet with the old man the next week. They immediately start connecting and relating to one another with the old man giving Cole a pocket watch his father gave him when he was young. Back in his apartment, Cole gets a call from his father apologizing after receiving his suicide letter. In the coming weeks, Cole's life will take a confusing turn for the worse which leads him to a realization that'll change his life forever.
