Some strong sexual innuendo, including flirting between a contestant and the judges and strong references to food being and/or tasting "sexy." Words like "balls" are often used.

Several female characters wear clothing that is tight, revealing clothes and low-cut, showing cleavage. There's also some strong sexual innuendo (suggestive flirting, references to food being "sexy").

Chef Alvin often yells, screams, and insults the cooks during competitions and judging sessions. One contestant humorously says "slap your mama" when the food is good. Angry contestants are shown slamming fists into prep tables.

Chef Alvin angrily throws out food he thinks is poorly made, sloppy and especially raw. Dishes and cups fall on the floor by the home cooks (accidentally) and smash into bits.

The contestants are seen using kitchen knives, chef knives (especially the Dragon 10" Cooks Knife) to slice, chop, break down, butcher, clean, and de-bone meat (i.e. ground meat and game meat) in addition to cooking the meat on a pan or in the oven We see bloody meat (when it's raw), blood, tissue and bones. Some contestants accidentally cut and/or burn their fingers themselves when they cook. (Mostly bandages on fingers are seen).

Some episodes show contestants breaking down live seafood and shellfish. They are shown killing them by putting the crawfish/lobster/crab in a boiling pot of salty water.

Uncensored swearing on CTV is mostly occasional uses of "dick", "bitch", "hell", "ass", "Jesus Christ", "Oh my God", "balls", "damn", "piss", "crap", "douche", "dumbass", "jerk off", "douchebag", "moron", "stupid", and "idiot". A character also says "what the "f---" but is bleeped out.

Words like "hell" are audible. Uses of the F-word and "s--t" are fully censored and bleeped out when episodes air on CTV but are uncensored on DVD.

Wine is often consumed during meals and tastings. Alcohol (wine, beer, hard liquor) is frequently used in recipes and when episodes show off-site team challenges (especially when the Top 6 facing a challenging "Restaurant Takeover"), VIP guests are seen drinking champagne.

The judges (and sometimes contestants) are seen angrily yelling in the kitchen as well as smashing fists and dishes in a very aggressive and scary manner.
