Moscow, 1976. Grandson of the Political bureau member Arthur falls in love with a young gifted ballerina Oksana Lepina. Using his influence, he achieves for Lepina debuts in major parties and participation in foreign tours. Oksana knows about the patronage, but tries to keep distance .
