A man has a one night stand with an older woman, and a woman has an affair with a married man. It is implied that a married man has had multiple affairs.

Season 1 Episode 1: There are two death scenes. One slited neck. The other hanged in the shower.

2 murders and a rather brutal beating. The first murder is shot close up and involves a knife going into a man's throat, but the knife is obscured, as is the man's throat. The second murder is a hanging in a shower. A woman is foaming at the mouth and has spasms before she dies. And the beating is prolonged over the course of several minutes and interspersed with other scenes. Blood, bruises and swelling can be seen, and the man is nearly beaten to death and then left for dead.

Mostly your run of the mill swearing. Season 2 has possibly 3 f-words.

The characters can be seen smoking in nearly every scene, and a man is an alcoholic.

The two murders are a little disturbing. Both victims make choking/gurgling noises before they die. The beating depicted was brutal and definitely designed to affect the emotions of the viewer.
