Sometimes backstories can get violent, such as a woman hitting he face on bricks, or even gory, like an open arm wound in a surgery. However, this is rare.

There are Ninja Warriors in the show that can be seen getting hurt or injured in the show for example, their leg gets broken or arm gets broken or shown with bloody faces as they fall and hit the obstacles hard and sometimes they end up in the hospital.

Words like "Oh my God", "Damn", "Hell", "Crap" are used in the show.

There are stories told by Ninja warrior contestants about how alcohol and even drugs ruined their lives and how they overcame them in order to be in the show.

There are many Ninja Warrior contestants that can be seen falling off the platform and in the water.

Many of the Ninja Warriors contestants failing and falling into the water can be frightening especially the high risk of injury.

A man is seen to be almost drowning but he quickly gets rescued.
