Sonic X (2003)

Amy- her underwear sometimes shows in the Japanese version (may make viewers uncomfortable, but it's no different than wearing shorts while in the dub, it's removed and replaced with fur.)

Amy presents a party dress to Sonic, who is speechless. She moves her hand towards Sonic's crotch. The scene immediately cuts to a close-up of their heads, where Sonic moans. It is not possible to know if she actually touched Sonic's crotch.

In the Japanese dub, when Topaz takes handcuffs to arrest Rouge, she jokingly asks if Topaz is into Sadism & Masochism causing Topaz to blush. In the English dub, Rouge tells Topaz that she is tough for a young lady.

Rouge acts flirtatiously towards Knuckles. In the Japanese dub, she asks if Knuckles is good during the night, which makes Knuckles blush. In the English dub, Rouge only says that she wants to work alongside Knuckles at all times. After this scene, in both dubs, Rouge tells Knuckles that she wants to share a prision cell with him, which makes Knuckles feel even more embarrased.

Suggestive saxophone songs are played in most scenes where Rouge is present. She acts, talks and interacts in a flirtatious manner with other characters most of the time.

In a fight, Rouge gives Tails a kiss on the cheek, which causes him to get distracted, fall and lose the fight.

The original Japanese version has sexual jokes and references, some even explicit. In the 4kids version, distributed in the US and the rest of the world, the vast majority of these jokes were deleted or softened through dubbing.

Decoe and Bocoe are chased by Knuckles. The robots hide in a kind of dance house, where there are women belly dancers dressed in an extremely suggestive way. Knuckles, upon entering, is embarrassed and ends up running away while the robots have fun with the girls. In the 4kids version, this scene was deleted.

Rouge took a bubble bath with her evening gloves on while inquiring about the chaos emerald, and accidently pulled Bokkun into the tub with her from impact of the rocking ship. In the 4kids version, this scene was deleted.

A robot is saved by Sonic and it falls in love with him. In the 4kids version, this scene was deleted.

The romance between Tails and Cosmo is highlighted in some episodes of season 3.

Many obvious crushes are shown: Tails and Cosmo (last season) Knuckles and Rouge (entire series) Shadow and Rouge (parts of the series with Shadow in them) Sonic and Amy (entire series)

Rouge- wears a heart-shaped plate that shows her cleavage in the Japanese version (may make viewers uncomfortable, but it's no different from a sweetheart neckline, and there is no nudity. Her cleavage is removed in the dubbed version however.)

In one episode, a character gets cut with a brief sight of a wound. The scene shows mild blood spray.

Mild cartoon violence, often involving Sonic and his friends fighting Eggman and his creations. Mild implications of death in some of the later episodes (often edited in the English dub).

The english dub contains no profanity.

In the Japanese version, "damn", "hell", "bastard", "pissed", and a few uses of "shit" are said.

In the Japanese version, beverages can be seen and drunk in the background of some episodes. They aren't given any focus.

Season 3 is darker.

Mild scary moments in an episode involving ghosts. Some characters end up with minor injuries during the final season.
