Beast Machines: Transformers (1999)

There is a romantic subplot between Blackarachnia and Silverbolt, and later between Rattrap and Botanica. There is no sexual content, beyond characters holding hands, hugging, and an accidental kiss between two of them. At least one episode features a flashback to Blackarachnia in her Transmetal 2 robot form, in which she resembles a human woman wearing a fairly revealing two piece bathing suit.

The series heavily relies on violence between the characters, all of whom are robots, so there is no blood or gore. Most episodes consist of numerous battles between the Maximals and Vehicons, involving firing energy-based laser weapons, the occasional martial arts, Cheetor and Silverbolt both use bladed weapons, Blackarachnia uses electrical webs, Nightscream fires out a sonic scream or can shoot out his fangs and zap Transformers of their energy like a vampire. The villains rely more on traditional firepower, explosives, and other weapons in battle.

Five characters are killed during the course of the series, and a sixth (who is actually a fake persona) is erased from existence. Some young viewers may find these scene upsetting.

Countless drone robots are destroyed or dismantled throughout the series. The entire planet of Cybertron has been stripped of their sparks (the Transformers equivalent of a soul), and numerous dead Transformers are seen in the series. And numerous points, the characters have their sparks removed and their bodies are shown lifeless.

There is no swearing in the series, though the Transformers use their own minor cursing ("By the Matrix!").

The Maximals eat fruit in the fifth episode, causing their intelligence to briefly lessen, becoming more aggressive and instinctive. It wears off at the end of said episode.

A weapon in the series affects the Transformers with a virus that threatens to kill them, but also causes induced insanity and emotional distress.

Another virus causes the Maximals to turn physically and emotionally aggressive, and against one another.

Some of the darker, violent scene may upset or frighten children.

The character Savage/Noble is a wolf that shapeshifts into a mindless dragon, though his predatory, menacing presence may frighten children.
