Seasons 1 to 2 had sexual jokes that were not worse, but after Season 3, these sexual jokes started becoming more borderline graphic and explicit (no actual sex is shown, but it is joked about). Nudity is also shown, but it's always blurred on TV and uncensored on DVD.
In the Season 4 episode "PTV", many flashbacks of sexual acts and nudity are shown during the song "The Freakin' FCC" but they don't last too long.
Glenn Quagmire is a sexual pervert, though this is meant to be comical. He does many things that would be illegal in the real world, and he is also heard having sex a lot but this is never shown graphically. However, it is shown occasionally but it is brief.
One episode shows Peter and Lois lying down on the couch naked while they are high but everything is strategically obscured. On TV, they are in their underwear.
Characters are heard having sex throughout, but it is never graphic and it's usually brief.
On the DVDs up to Season 4, all graphic nudity was either blurred (on TV) or obscured, but after Season 4 however, all graphic nudity is actually shown if it isn't obscured, but since this is an animated show, it isn't that bad.
Most of the time, male genitalia is covered by their stomachs.
Some episodes also deal with pornography, but it is never shown in explicit detail (one episode shows clown porn, but they are in their underwear in the video).
Rear nudity is shown quite frequently in the series.
Many gay and lesbian characters appear in the show and some are shown making love.
One scene shows Adam West flashing the convenience store clerk. This is played for laughs as it's blurred on TV, but his penis is shown on the DVD versions.

The Season 1-2 are pretty minor sexual stuff, but in Season 3 to onwards, the series becomes moderate amount of sexual content and being mature and edgy tones.

Violence & Gore
Severe
The older episodes to Season 3 don't have that much violence. However, in the newer ones past Season 3, the violence is surprisingly strong. It's about on par with South Park.
There are scenes with comical pratfalls, but there are others with pretty bad falls.
The entire show is made to be funny, not violent, but the violence could be over the top though, and the creator (Seth MacFarlane) intended it to be this way. Hence, why it's called dark comedy.
Meg gets pushed around by bullies and by Peter. She's pretty much the punching bag of the show, but it is played for laughs.
In fights, some graphic injuries include black eyes, bloody noses and teeth knocked out.
In a cutaway, after being forced to smile, Droopy Dog kills himself. The result has a lot of blood with a large splatter on his chest. You never see his dead body but some blood is seen in a little closing circle.
Bloody violence is done realistically. Violence has included shootings, beatings, violence against women and children, accidental violence, violence against animals (slaughter or animal cruelty), animals mauling people or other animals, death, dying, and depictions of loss in general.
The violence can be very graphic at times.
There are remakes of some Star Wars movies but it is bloodier and it also contains swearing.
Throughout the show, Peter survives many injuries that would kill a person in real life.
Stewie beats up Brian with his fists, golf club, and shoots him in both knees and sets a flame thrower on him when he wasn't given any money. This is comical violence but it's still bloody.
A Season 9 episode shows a murder mystery. This episode shows some serious blood.
In one episode, Chris runs with scissors. Peter tells him "You run like a girl", and he kills himself with the scissors he's holding. Large amounts of blood spray from him and it goes all over the room.
Season 16 is by far the most gruesome and violent season.
The violence is comical because there is dark humor throughout, but still can be graphic and disturbing.
Plenty of slapstick violence (some of it gory) played for humor, including shootings and beatings, but no main characters face lasting life-threatening injury. Blood is displayed on several occasions. Meg is pushed around by high schoolers. One character has his penis bit off by a shark. Peter owns a gun and occasionally takes it out, mostly shooting himself by accident. A minor character dies via suicide.
Dark humor and references throughout like various horror movie, death, violent acts, etc. While played for laughs, the dark humor for contexts can disturbing for some viewers.
The violence is ominously severe at times.

There are uses of mild words such as "hell", "ass", "piss", "crap", "bastard" and "damn" but they're used pretty frequently. "Bitch/Son of a bitch" is also in.
The C word is only used about once but it is replaced by "bitch" on TV and Disney+/Hulu.
There are many uses of Mild profanity, such as "Hell", "Damn", "Ass", "Piss" and "Crap". There are also uses of Moderate profanity such as "Bastard", "Bitch", "Dammit", "Dick", "Prick", "Slut", "Whore", and "Cock". Severe profanity is also used in the series such as "Fuck" and "Shit".
Season 10 has the most uses of the F-word throughout the series. If not, Season 7.
Stronger words like "fuck" and "shit" are bleeped on TV and on some streaming sites like Hulu, but on DVD and other streaming sites like Netflix are uncensored. However, they were still bleeped on the Season 1-3 DVDs and are bleeped on Disney+.
Infrequent uses of offensive slurs like "slut", "whore", "skank", "hoe", "tranny" and "shemale".
Sometimes when Peter gets hurt or specifically fell down the stairs, he would yell extremely vulgar cuss words like "fuck" and "cock."
On the DVDs, Jesus is used but it's hard to hear as it's mostly said by Peter and Brian.

The series contains mild to intense language in the show.

Since the series was rated TV-14, "Fuck" and "Shit" are used a several times, however it is bleeped out while used, but the show has over 400+ episodes, so it's spread out.
Usually, each episode contains about 1-5 uses of the f-word, however, there has been some episodes that have 7-10+ f-words sometimes even a shocking 20+ uses of the f-word.

Peter getting drunk is common on this show. This is played for laughs like Homer's alcoholism on "The Simpsons".
Almost every type of drug has been used or at least referenced, with drugs like Weed, Cocaine, Crack, Bath Salts, Heroin, LSD, Opioids, Meth, Adderall, Acid and Whippets.
The main characters are shown smoking weed in some episodes.
In one episode, Stewie and Chris vape.

Mild
Bullying happens occasionally. Some kids get pushed around and beaten up, which may disturb some young viewers. But this show isn't for young kids anyways, and it's more for teenagers and adults.
A kid pushes Stewie into the sandbox.
The show can be extremely dark at times.
Some jokes can be racist and offensive.
The portrayal of Jesus may offend religious viewers.
There are many racist jokes about slavery and color. Some people find it funny but it is very offensive.
Family Guy is a comedy show. So it's not supposed to be intense or violent, but the violence can be over the top though.
Some characters may act intense or anxious at times.
Moderate/Severe in a lot of episodes.
This show is about the misadventures of a family man in a Rhode Island town.
The Season 1 to 3 are tamest. But in Season 4 to onwards, the content can sometimes moderate or severe.

The reason why the show is parody and satire on the genres side along with comedy and animated sitcom, is it happens based on real life events throughout, with many stereotypes. References to tragic events, video games, movies, TV series, actors, racism, sexism, superheroes, animals, women, men, different race, etc. Many people could find it disturbing and offensive, but it's non-offensive.
Although the six main characters (Griffin family) have no face lasting life-threatening injury, but many background and cultural characters died throughout of the series.
Easily one of the most adult animated shows ever made. Especially when its uncensored.
Brian Griffin can be a loser at times, usually because he's offhand and unusually confident.
If this was a movie and it's uncensored, it would be rated R for strong graphic bloody violence, grisly images, pervasive strong language, crude sexual content, and some drug use.
Despite the dark humor and violent at times, the "Violence and Gore" category above might be disturbing and intense for some viewers rather than given the slapstick/comic tones because it's all animated.
If this show were a film, it would be adapted to R for crude humor, sexuality, strong bloody violence, crude language and drug missue.
Vomiting is frequent in the series.

Usually the jokes are strange, irreverent, in-your-face, and childlike, and it may offend some people.
