Erasmus Microman (1988)

In series 1, Erasmus leads 2 bored children through history meeting history's greatest scientists. In series 2, Erasmus returns from a sojourn as an Inspector of Black Holes for the Univerrsal Space Federation to chase Dr. Dark through time. Dr. Dark, a being from a parallel universe, is trying to plunge the Erath into a new dark age.
