Deman (1998)

In each episode, well-reputed lawyer Ben Deman (hence the title), Flanders' closest equivalent of Matlock, takes and pleads the case of an accused before the Court of Assises (a non-permanent Belgian criminal court without appeal), usually for murder. Before the actual court trial he also investigates, helped by a team of legal staff and private detective; his and their private lives may provide minor plot lines.
