In a talent show the some of the girls are wearing very small clothing and 1 is seen the the background doing a very sexual dance.

Girls sometimes wear very skimpy clothing.

A girl is seen talking off her cloths in front of a guy. where she is left wearing just her bra and underwear the part last for a view minutes then ending with a zoom in on a girls butt at he sprays something on it.

A women is seen getting a massage with no shirt on. It last for about 3 minutes.

The mother is seen taking a bath.

In one episode a young girl is seen taking off her clothes leaving her in her bra and underwear. This scene last for a while then ends with a young boy spraying something on another young girls butt.

In one episode moaning noices can be heard from a TV

All jokes about sex and drugs are cleverly hidden. They'll go straight over younger viewers heads.

Season 6 and 7 have raunchier and edgier jokes. Still nothing too graphic.

In the episode 2 of the third season, Hal is seen in his underwear in a department store and spanks a girl that he thought that it was Lois.

There is one episode where Stevie and Reese use a boat to go to a cheerleaders camp, bras and clothes are seen flowing in the ocean as they take off their clothes, Reese shows Malcolm a hickey as well.

Some pretty raunchy jokes especially for a family friendly show especially in later seasons. Some children may be tricked into thinking they're watching a much edgier show or most jokes will go completely over their heads completely.

There are occasional sexual innuendoes and references in this show. Usually from mild to moderately inappropriate. But all played for laughs. In the first episode, you see Lois and Hal naked but cleverly covered while Lois is shaving Hal's disturbingly hairy back. Nothing shown and completely played for laughs. In one episode, Lois takes Malcolm on a drive to further his knowledge of human sexuality and puberty. Nothing is completely said, just Malcolm's face of shock and you hear Lois in the background.

Lois and Hal periodically have suggestive encounters. Usually just shown in double-entendres, but once in a while you do see passionate kissing then the shot ends with sex implied I.e them under covers.

Reese crashes a mini-bike in one episode, he comes home with a bloody lump on his leg.

In the same episode, Jamie, the youngest brother, makes a shelf fall on Lois, getting her in massive pain areas

One episode Malcolm, Reese, and hal unknowingly go into a mine field, and a cougar blows up, but nothing is seen, played for laughs

Malcolm beats up a bully who turns out was seven years old. And hal beats up a kid who turns out to be 15. Played for laughs

Francis tries to earn money by driving a lawnmower of a roof, the aftermath shows him with broken arms and a broken leg while recovering. Entire thing is for laughs

Any scenes with Reese shows him bullying his brothers, and people at school, with punches, and typical bullying stunts. All played for laughs

One episode has Reese peeling his skin off due to finding out more skin is under, and scenes show his peeling getting bigger and bigger.

Mostly slapstick violence that's played for laughs. Note that most violence is between the brothers in the show and not ever brutal in anyway.

Any violence that is more than just slapstick (very rare) isn't shown. It shows from the person getting hit's perspective. Note that this is very rare.

A bridge explodes in one episode.

A live grenade blows up the refrigerator in one episode.

"Pissed" and "pissed off" is used semi-occasionally.

A**h*le is bleeped out 3/4 times during a blooper real. Despite being censored it's clear which word is being used.

The profanity is occasional and very mild. "Dick," "Ass," "Crap," "Hell," nothing over the top. There is mild bullying in the show, & in 1 episode, a main character stands up to him by calling him a "butt-wipe." Lots of other name calling but all played for laughs. In the episode "Long Drive," you hear the word Uterus in a non-sexual educational context.

In "Rollerskates", Malcolm says f you to Hal, but it was blocked out by car brakes and a baby monitor.

Bleeped out swear words are occasionally used, but it's apparent to what words they're using.

The most profane line is In one episode Kurtwood Smith's character quotes "suck my d**k" from a high school literary magazine. He repeats it a few times but it is muted out for comedic effect on both television and home releases.

Bad language is few and far apart. Note that not every episode even has bad language.

In one episode, Dewey is addicted to smoking in a deal to also have Hal quitting coffee

In one episode, Dewey starts smoking, no visual smoking is shown

In one episode Lois' mom is seen smoking and coughing a lot.

Hal is smoking a cigar in one scene

In one episode a group of men take over the families garage with several chemicals and test equipment. It is never said or shown what they're doing but to older viewers it is very clear that they're manufacturing drugs.

Most drug related subplots and references are so subtle they'll go straight over children's heads.

In one episode Reese does experimental drug testing being paid to try medical pills. Pills are shown but never seen being taken. Played for laughs.

One scene has a group singing an anti drug song. Mentioning cocaine, weed and LSD.

Very limited scenes of cigarette smoking and social drinking.

The parents smoke and the kids sometimes. Drinking. Very little drug references, although the subplot of one episode tells of Reese trying to pick up a pretty narcotics addict, played for laughs and the drugs are never actually shown being taken and the word drugs is only mentioned 3 times and narcotics is said once.

Malcolm comes home drunk in one episode, played for laughs.

Comedic show nothing really intense.

Reese is a bully, and troublemaker. Nearly all of his scenes have him bullying, or causing trouble. The character is funny, and not to be taken seriously

Jokes become more inappropriate in the later seasons but still tame and PG-13 at worst.

Rated PG for dangerous behaviour, mild language, some suggestive material and rude humour - some involving children. (Seasons 1-3)

Rated PG-13 for crude humour including dialogue, reckless behaviour, some drug references and brief sexual content. (Season 4-7)
