In one episode, Spongebob and Patrick are briefly seen wearing g-strings at the beach. In the same episode, the plot revolves around Spongebob being embarrassed about his grandma kissing him (on his forehead).

In one episode, a woman is playing with a loaf of bread like an accordion. As she's doing this, she also appears to be topless.
In the episode which had SpongeBob wear long pants, a boy asks his mother if he (SpongeBob) was his father. The camera pans to the mother and, with a lustful look, says, "I wish".
Squidward puts a vial near his crotch and inks in it (similar to a urine test). He even asks for privacy right before he does it.
The Flying Dutchman is seen hitting on a female fish at a party. She eyes him skeptically and asks him "Is that a wedding ring?!"
Sandy has to fight a French martial artist named "The Tickler". Also, in the same episode, Sandy faces off against Udon and expands her giant muscles while wearing nothing but a bikini.
Near the end of an episode, everyone, except for Sandy, is naked.
After Squidward tells them to "do as they're told, or they'll incur the wrath of his ghost", Patrick says he thinks they make a cream for that now.
Plankton asks if SpongeBob had all-over tan, and SpongeBob replies, "Not all of me".
In the episode "My Pretty Seahorse", Scooter approaches Mystery and thinks it's a kiddie ride. He says he couldn't find the coin slot, then says, "Here it is", prompting Mystery to kick him. The implication is that Mystery is a girl.
This show has tons of hidden adult jokes in it, but they will go right over little kids heads. It's mostly the older seasons with hidden messages
Plankton replaces the original Karen for a sleeker wife. The second Karen has curves and a big bum. She is meant to look more seductive than the original.
Mature jokes are seen and told throughout the series, along with mild to moderate innuendos and themes. However, the fact that most of the situations take place between fantasy characters act as a mitigating circumstance. These jokes include menstruation, promiscuity, prostitution, STD, and so on.
In some episodes, they talk about bras.

In one episode, SpongeBob looks for his pen in his underwear, but he looks for it at the front side.
In the season 3 episode Chocolate With Nuts, Patrick makes a comment about barnacle chips. Spongebob starts reading a billboard, "Eat barnacle chips, they're delicious." Spongebob says right after, "They are most certainly not delicious!" Right after this, Patrick says, "Not the way I use them." This is a strange quote and it is unsure what Pat actually means
In the end of Rock-a-bye Bivalve, Patrick tells Spongebob let's have another.
Also in the season 2 episode Rock-a-bye Bivalve, a couple sees Spongebob and Patrick with the baby scallop and both think about a Sponge+Star=Scallop. This will go over kids though. And in the same episode, Spongebob says he can't be the mom because he never wears a shirt and the camera switches over to Patrick who says to just call him daddy.
In the season 3 episode SpongeGuard On Duty, Spongebob and Patrick are shown at the beach, Pat asks Spongebob how is tan is coming and we get a view of Spongebob's full frontside when he lifts his swimming trunks (no detail), we then get a view of Patrick's full 'frontside'. When he lifts his trunks we see his buttocks but he then says he could've sworn it was lying on his back.
In the season 10 episode Burst Your Bubble, Spongebob sees Mr. Krabs washing his boat in Pearl's tight pants. We see Mr. Krabs squirt water on him with a sponge and we see him dancing in an odd way.
In a season 3 episode The Snowball Effect, we see kids making a lot of different snow figures and one of the figures is a mermaid, but with no breasts, the kid is holding a snowball in his hand making it so that viewers think he will add breasts to the mermaid.
In the season 5 episode The Two Faces Of Squidward, Mr. Krabs says to the Bikini Bottomites that everyone will get the opportunity to touch Squidward.
In the season 2 episode The Smoking Peanut, Patrick looks like he is licking Spongebob but is really licking a yellow popsicle.
In the season 7 episode The Curse Of The Hex, Mr. Krabs tells Spongebob that he has to get up pretty early to sneak a pair of buns like these past old Mr. Krabs. Squidward then says or at least before he puts on his sleeping mask. Mr. Krabs then asks Squidward how did he know he wore a sleeping mask.
There is a lot of flirting between Mrs. Puff and Dorsal Dan in the season 10 episode The Getaway.
Bubble Bass is seen sitting on the toilet in the season 11 episode Bottle Burglars.
In 'As Seen On TV' when Mr. Krabs tells everyone to go away during the shooting of the Krusty Krab commercial, we see a Bikini Bottomite carrying a large realistic human woman leg with lingerie on the leg.
In Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V, the villains are revealed to be at Make-out Reef, where teenagers go to make out. The Chief then starts making out with himself as an example. Squidward then reply's, "Oh Make-out reef, good times good times."
A teenager makes out with his own pillow. In the same episode, teenagers are shown making out as male and female in the season 3 episode Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V.
In the season 8 episode Barnacle Face, the beginning of the episode takes place at the high school where we see a kid twisting another kids nipple.

In the season 11 episode Grandmums The Word, Plankton is giving Karen a romantic bath, Plankton then spins Karen's wheels and she moans pleasurably. Soon after, Plankton and Karen kiss but get interrupted by Plankton's grandmother.

In "Spy Buddies", when Mr Krabs asks Squidward if he's seeing things (because a float was covering the light), Squidward replies it's "that time of the month again", referring to periods. This will most likely go over children's heads.
Men and women are shown in there underwear in some episodes. For the women, we see them in their bra and their panties.
In Hello Bikini Bottom!, Squidward yells at SpongeBob and tells him, "The day I practice with you is the day I grow hair on my" Squidward doesn't finish his sentence but it is unaware what he was going to say.
Mermaid Man is seen wearing a tight bathing suit and he is also shirtless in Mermaid Man Begins.
In Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V, Mermaid Man says, "Why else would we run around in colored undies?" Squidward then comments, "I can think of three good reasons."
In 'The Krusty Sponge', Mr. Krabs tells Spongebob that he is making a few cosmetic changes to the Krusty Krab, leading Spongebob to say, "Oh, you mean like when Squidward had that mole taken off his-" Mr. Krabs cuts him off but it is unsure what he was going to say.
In the beginning of The Algae's Always Greener, Mr. Krabs is in his office and he is rubbing money on his face while sweating. During this he says, "Ooh ooh ooh, sweet wampum." This is obviously an innuendo but most will ignore it.
In some episodes, some characters call other characters 'boob(s)' as an insult. Mostly Squidward uses this word as he calls SpongeBob and Patrick this word. Plankton usually calls SpongeBob as SpongeBoob.
In 'Sanctuary!', one of the characters tells Spongebob to not forget to get your snails spayed or neutered.
In 'Someone's In The Kitchen With Sandy', we get a brief closeup of Sandy's clothed breasts when she puts a Krabby Patty in her suit to eat it.
In some episode girls are seen in their swim suits/bikinis.
In Pat Hearts Squid, Squidward land on Patrick's stomach and Patrick asks where he is. Squidward then says, "In your naval."

In A Flea in Her Dome, there is a closeup shot of a flea giving birth to 2 flea eggs. Very surprising for a kids show. Also very disgusting and pretty graphic.
In The Clash of Triton, there is a brief shot of live action women and men dancing in skimpy outfits. Female cleavage is visible and women are seen in bikinis. Men are also dancing shirtless. This is brief scene and is meant to be humorous and not sexual.
In Truth or Square, Pink sings a song in a revealing outfit that shows minor cleavage while wearing a skirt. This is live action, not animated.
Some episodes feature live action scenes where men are shown shirtless and in shorts, and women are seen in bikinis or revealing outfits. These could be brief scenes, or they could go on for a while. For example, in Party Pooper Pants, Patchy is seen talking to a woman dressed up as a mermaid where her cleavage is visible. This seen is only about 20-30 seconds long.
In Mermaid Man Begins, Mermaid Man is on the phone with someone and asks them, "So, what are you wearing?"
In Feral Friends, Larry the Lobster says, "The last time I saw a moon that big was in a locker room." This is an obvious innuendo but it is brief.
When Squidward thinks that Squillam is shirtless, Squidward says "Oh no! He's Hot!"
In the season 10 episode 'Life Insurance', Squidward refers to himself as a playboy.
The city where SpongeBob and his friends live in is called Bikini Bottom, although young viewers are oblivious to what it actually means.
In the season 9 episode "Pull Up a Barrel", Mr. Krabs asks a pirate he is fighting with, "How's your sister?" He also says this in the season 3 episode "One Krabs Trash" when he is sword fighting with a skeleton. These are brief innuendos.

SpongeBob is seen watching a television show where we see a live-action sea creature moving around. He stares with interest and quickly changes to the sports channel when Gary enters the room. This appears to be a reference to porn. Also, in Squids Day Off, Squidward was in the middle of taking a bath. Squidward thought Spongebob was doing something wrong so he ran to the Krusty Krab Naked. With Bubbles Censoring.
When SpongeBob hands Gary two bars of soap, he says "don't drop them" and winks as a reference to prison rape.
This episode is centered around the romance between Mr. Krabs and Mrs. Puff. There are references to Mr. Krabs finding Mrs. Puff attractive and she gives him a kiss.
Mr. Krabs joins SpongeBob and Patrick on a panty raid, unaware that they are going to steal from Krabs' elderly mother.

Plankton tries to commit suicide by lying in the road waiting for a car to come by and run him over. Mr. Krabs is amused by it and laughs. It's more of a plot point than a joke.
Squidward becomes depressed after he realizes that he has no happy memories. In his house, he steps on a stool, holding a rope and says, "Maybe this will help." He then pulls the rope down and it is revealed that on the other end of the rope was a bird cage. This is meant to be a suicide joke, though it will probably go over childrens' heads.
In "Don't Look Now", SpongeBob and Patrick thinks about the fisherman. Squidward tries to scare them by dressing up as the fisherman. That's the same one that Mr. Krabs tries to scare SpongeBob by using a paper ghost.
Most violence are just for humour porpoises. Though can get a little much.
Spongebob and other main/side characters can sometimes get hit by a boat, bus, or a truck this may be disturbing for younger viewers. (Being hit by something has happened in every season of the show.)
In the season 10 episode Whirlybrains, Spongebob and Patrick fly their brains around town which can be gross to some viewers.
In a season 12 episode, Farmerbob, Spongebob gets torn up into a corn harvester and comes out in the shape of a cube.
Spongebob slams the door in Squidwards face a lot in the episode The Two Faces Of Squidward.
We see a closeup of Patrick's armpit as he rips a bandage off of it in the season 11 episode Ink Lemonade. This is a very gross moment and is gory and very detailed. Later on, we see Patrick peel his abdomen off, exposing all of his internal organs and skull, and all shown in extreme detail.
Patrick gets zapped multiple times by King Neptune in the season 1 episode Neptune's Spatula.
In a season 12 episode Pineapple RV, Squidward gets beaten up again by 3 sea bears and gets injured more badly than when he got beaten up by one sea bear in the season 2 episode The Camping Episode.
In Spongebob B.C., a giant Prehistoric Gary beats up Prehistoric Squidward and then crushes him.
Every since Steven Hillenberg left SpongeBob SquarePants, the show became more violent and gross. 'The Splinter' being a good example.
In Jolly Lodgers, Squidward electrocutes 20-30 people with a jellyfish costume.
Squidward walks into a cactus patch in the season 8 episode Hello Bikini Bottom! You can see red marks all across his skin from this incident.
The episodes "Life Insurance" and Kwarantined krab" can get moderately to severely violent at times.

In Whelk Attack, SpongeBob and Patrick rip out their corneas and afterward there is a glimpse of them without the corneas and it is in pretty graphic detail.
In A Friendly Game, Patrick gets struck by lightning and gets burnt to a crisp.
There are acts of violence in every episode of the show. Sometimes it for humor purposes, and sometimes it's more serious and not humorous. Fights are taken place in a lot of episodes too.
In Bubble Troubles, SpongeBob and Patrick are blowing hot sauce bubbles at each other's eyes. Their eyes become bloodshot for a couple seconds and they scream. Meant to be humorous, but can be pretty disturbing or graphic to a lot of people.
Glove World R.I.P. features a sequence of SpongeBob and Patrick going on amusement park rides and getting hurt on each one, getting black eyes, cuts, broken glass shards in themselves, etc. One part shows some people going on a log ride and when they come out of the ride they have leeches sticking to them.
In License to Milkshake, Captain Frostymug gets caught in the milkshake blender but SpongeBob eventually saves him. He is shown in a wheelchair afterwards.
Ink Lemonade is one of the most graphic episodes of the entire series. Other graphic episodes include, The Splinter, House Fancy, etc.
Over the top slapstick comedy and cartoon violence thoughout of the series, but overall, it played for humor.
SpongeBob accidentally drops a chair on Squidwards toe then tries to pull it off and in doing so rips his toenail out we see some red.
Squidward accidentally pulls his own eyebrow out we see some red.
SpongeBob trips and we see a splinter stabbing into his thumb this is in slow motion.
In one episode, a man's eyeballs melt out. He falls to the floor and dies. However he is later seen in the episode alive with his eyes intact.

The most violent scenes are from season 6. These include pretty much all of The Splinter, people ripping their skin off in Plankton's Regular, Pineapple Fever and Sand Castles in the Sand, and Squidward's toenail being ripped out in House Fancy.

In the original airings of "Just One Bite" Squidward is seen trying to break into the Krusty Krab, and is doused in gas he is set on fire twice. Subsequent airings edit it to Squidward already approaching the Patty vault. The main reason this was edited out is due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the aftermath.

In "Employee of the Month", as Squidward is badmouthing the award, the meat from the fan hits Squidward, accompanied with a "fffft!" sound, implying he was going to say "shit".

In "Employee Of The Month", Squidward says "bunch of h..." (It's implied that Squidward was going to say "hippie-dippie baloney).

In the season 12 episode Dirty Bubble Returns, the Dirty Bubble starts to say "I'll see you in" but then gets interrupted by a police officer. It is implied that he was going to say, "I'll see you in hell."
A donkey appears over Squidward twice in the season 2 episode Christmas Who. It is implied that Squidward is being called a jackass.

Spongebob and Patrick say a bad word that is bleeped out in the season 12 episode SpongeBobs Big Birthday Blowout.

The SpongeBob Movie (2004) has some profanity in it. One use of damn and two uses of jackass. Ding a ling is also said two times as well.

In later seasons, the word chum becomes a euphemism for the "s" word.
In "Sailor Mouth," it is implied that SpongeBob and Patrick learnt "bad word #11" and started using it everywhere, even though it was all censored but it is never confirmed what the word is as it is covered up with dolphin noises. On the trashcan it says "Krabs is a...," and SpongeBob mentions the hidden bad word, though it was censored and we don't know which one it was. The moral of the episode advises against swearing.
In "Krusty Love" SpongeBob's patience is tested and he ends up saying alot of unintelligible gibberish, this is meant to be an equivalent of swearing. Even Mrs. Puff is seen thumbing through a dictionary and blushing.

In many episodes when there are fancy parties or restaurants, glasses of shampane angelina wine can be seen, especially in "Goodbye, Krabby Patty?."
In one episode, SpongeBob says, "I need a break" and goes outside and starts blowing bubbles. The way he does this is very obviously similar to smoking.
In "Code Yellow", SpongeBob asks other doctors to hand him a "medical sea chicken" For those who don't know, a "chicken" is slang for marijuana.

In a certain episode, Mr.Krabs has a pickle between his teeth, he pretends to act like it's a cigar.
In the season 9 episode Food Con Castaways, there is a bumper sticker on Mr. Krabs's trailer that says I heart weed, but right on top of the word weed, it says Sea making it so it supposedly says I heart Sea Weed, but it doesn't look like it says that.
A worm is shown using a smoke pipe as a grill in the episode "House Worming."
It is revealed that Old Man Jenkins take a lot of pills in the season 12 episode Senior Discount.
In the episode of Hooky, during the live-action scenes of the men fishing, there is one guy in the background smoking a cigarette.
In Truth or Square, a live action sequence includes Triumph the Insult Comic Dog holding a bunch of cigars in his mouth. This is not animated.
The glasses used in one of the fancy restaurants looks like wine glasses and the color of the liquid in them resembles wine.
In one episode Mr. Krabs asks Spongebob, "What allergy medications are you on boy?"

"The Splinter" is infamous and notorious for being very gross and violent.
This show can get fairly violent at times. There are several instances of slapstick humor, but it can get quite intense sometimes. Characters use pipes, axes, knives, saws, guns, and explosives. Also, there are lots of nasty-looking close-ups often portrayed in graphic detail that are reminiscent to some infamous scenes from Ren and Stimpy.
In the original airings of "The Snowball Effect", Squidward builds a snow dungeon with sacrificed snowmen seen, but Nickelodeon won't let the audience see it.
In "Clams", the clam may be violent which will scare younger viewers. Due to which, the clam from the episode is a parody of the shark from the movie "Jaws". Even the scene where Mr. Krabs loses his one millionth dollar may upset some viewers.
In the episode "SpongeBob Meets the Strangler", the Tattletale Strangler tries to strangle SpongeBob, which will scare young viewers.
In "Have You Seen This Snail" SpongeBob tries to beat the Dirty Bubble challenge. Meanwhile, since Gary is still hungry, he runs away from home which is super emotional.
In the episode "SpongeBob, You're Fired!", the portrayal of SpongeBob being fired from the Krusty Krab will upset some viewers. Fortunately, he is rehired in the Krusty Krab again.
In the original airings of "Scaredy Pants", The Flying Dutchman takes off SpongeBob's ghost costume and they let them see SpongeBob's scary look. Due to the violence, Nickelodeon won't allow them to let the audience see SpongeBob like this. Unfortunately, they cut the scene.
In one episode called "Bummer Vacation", SpongeBob becomes insane after think that Mr. Krabs wants to replace him, so he corners Patrick and acts like a psychopath while breaking out into demented cackling. This may scare some viewers.
In "Have You Seen My Snail?", Spongebob is strongly devastated about his loss of Gary. You get a close-up on SpongeBob's emotion-packed and broken up face, and the screen gets even closer to show his insides which is his heart on an antique clock. This can make people squeamish.
The old lady with the scratchy voice in the episode "Chocolate With Nuts" can scare some viewers.
The Season 5 episode "Fungus Among Us" is known for being very gross.
In the Season 11 episode "Ink Lemonade", Patrick tries to scare Squidward to get ink, leading Patrick to make a haunted attachment to Squidward's house. This episode may be very frightening to some viewers.
There is a lot of moments in the series that can be frightening for viewers.
Ths series often contains characters making disturbing faces & causing disturbing behaviour. Some people may be worried about the disturbing behaviour.
Slimy Dancing, Patrick's and Squidward's cramp can be a little frightening but it can be played for laughs.
An episode from Season 12 revolves around SpongeBob biting his nails and other people's nails too. This may be disturbing or gross for some people.
"Kwarantined Krab" can get Moderately to Severely violent and scary. With gory close-ups of Squidward, Mrs. Puff, Pearl, Patrick, SpongeBob, and Mr. Krabs. Near the end of the episode, everyone gangs up against Mr. Krabs and fights him, trying to capture him and put him in the freezer. This episode can be very disturbing and violently scary for some viewers.
Squidward's crazed and demented behavior might frighten many viewers as he kicks SpongeBob and Patrick out of his house and screams at them in the episode 'Good Neighbors'.
The episode "Someone's in the Kitchen With Sandy" is one of the many dark episodes of the 7th Season.
Season 7 is known to be the most darkest season of the show, with very violent, dark and depressing episodes.
Considering that this show has zero deaths in it, one episode called 'Bubble Buddy' has a character named Scooter who got buried in the sand and never got dug out. There was then a big wave that came crashing on the beach and it then drowns Scooter, we know this because in one of the next scenes, Scooter is seen flying up to heaven as an angel. This may upset and sadden many viewers but Scooter does end up showing in other episodes of the show.
In "Whatever Happened To SpongeBob?", there is a horrifying closeup of SpongeBob with many nasty details portrayed in graphic detail.
In 'Idiot Box', SpongeBob and Patrick mention cutting their limbs off.
Dying For Pie is one of the most saddest episodes of the show.
In SB-129, Squidward enters a dimension where he is in a blank white room. It is hard to describe it but this is one of the most darkest episodes.
In No Free Rides, Mrs. Puff says that she might have to move to a new town and start a new identity, then she says, "No...not again!" This is a questionable theory about Mrs. Puff's dark past.
In the Season 2 episode "I'm Your Biggest Fanatic", Kevin shows SpongeBob Kevin's recent fans who are sitting at the bottom of a trench saying, "Hey, Kevin's back!" This is another dark moment in the show.
In "Pat the Dog", the character Butcher may scare some viewers.
"Plankton Paranoia" can get Moderately to Severely disturbing and creepy.
The ending of "Grandma's Kisses" causes SpongeBob to have a breakdown which makes him want all of his childhood things back. This can hit very hard for many viewers.
Even as a children's cartoon for Nickelodeon, the show sometimes tends to be a tiny bit dark. Parental supervision is recommended on some episodes.
In "Jellyfish Hunter", a factory is full of captive jellyfish being tortured into making jelly for people, which is a very scary and creepy example of animal cruelty. This can upset and scare many audiences, animal lovers, and young children.
A Flea in Her Dome is pretty violent mostly because it has something to do with Sandy having a flea. There are many shots of SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy having fleas on their bodies, eyes, and etc. There is also closeups of the fleas biting their skin, pretty graphic.
Like some episodes, in the episode Earworm, SpongeBob goes insane after having a song stuck in his head. We see him crawling on all legs and writing on the wall too etc. Can be pretty frightening to many, however played for laughter.
Madame Hagfish from "The Curse of the Hex" might scare some viewers.
Many people might get extremely offended at the episode 'Texas'. As the episode features SpongeBob and Patrick making fun of the state and the people who live there. They feature Texan stereotypes in a making-fun-of way.
There are many a running gags throughout like a man injury his legs when he get violence ways and say "My leg!". A sequence of live action footage that may be surreal. Patrick fall down and crash. Gross out humor includes disgusting images. Plankton tries to get a secret formula. And many more, all of slapstick sequences are meant for laughs.
There's a perilous situations scene throughout that used "Grass Skirt Chase" soundtrack which might pretty distress to some viewers.
Some episodes have upsetting/disturbing content
Even though some episodes are bad/have upsetting scenes, it teaches kids that sometimes life is stressful and traumatic sometimes.
Some characters act crazy or unhinged at times, usually out of frustration or anger.
The bikini bottomers in tons of episodes are very mean and cruel to the main cast particularly spongbob, this can be upsetting and infuriating to some.
In the episode are you happy now squidward after not finding his happiness memory becomes suicidal.
Some characters can act reserved and cold at times.
Characters can act frantic/twisted at times and cause havoc most often instead of getting help.

In the original airing of one particular episode in season 12 there was a scene where squidward is seen with bloodshot eyes which may be disturbing for younger viewers (also a red mist reference) but it was soon replaced by squidward as a baby.

Squidward tells a story about The Hash Slinging Slasher. The story could be frightening to kids. The story turns out to be a fable, but the last-minute appearance of Nosferatu would certainly scare younger audiences.
Some scenes of mild bullying could be found upsetting.
In the episode "Wormy" there's a scene where the body of a live-action horsefly accompanied by buzzing sounds can be seen in a close up. This can be very disturbing for people especially those who have fears of insects.
The "Nasty Patty" is a pretty dark episode, but it's mostly because of dark humor.
The controversial episode "One Coarse Meal" involves Mr. Krabs driving Plankton to suicide. Although this should be handled seriously, it is instead handled in a comedic manner, but it will upset many viewers.
The episode "Demolition Doofus" may upset some because of Mrs. Puff's unusual sociopath behavior.
"Bossy Boots" has a split second scene where Pearl and SpongeBob try to come up with a new name for The Krusty Krab. SpongeBob comes up with "The Kreepy Krab" which depicts him as a mad scientist holding a mutated crab. He then comes up with "The Killer Krab" which shows him with a rather barbaric appearance. This scene is super quick and easy to miss.
The episode "Gary Takes a Bath" has a scene were a face of a girl with pigtails smiling pops up almost like a jumpscare. This may be frightening to some.
The original version of "Shanghaied" that was shown in theaters before a movie, has Squidward thrown into a demonic atmosphere known as "the fly of despair", originally skulls and skeleton remains were seen when Squidward was falling through. When the time came for the episode to air Nickelodeon replaced the skeletal images with a stock photo of spaghetti.
