It is good to remember that nothing on this show is anywhere near realistic. If I had my way, it would be labled under "Fantasy".
Frequent death scenes, some involving children. Often intense scenes with gunfire and people in peril. Hospital scenes may involve blood, though not graphically. Characters become emotional. Several story lines revolve around real life issues, such as unwanted pregnancies, domestic violence/abuse, drug and alcohol dependency, death, mental illness, illness, inc. HIV/AIDS, and cancer, abortion, homosexuality, premarital sex, divorce, custody issues, criminal activity, car accidents, etc. Anybody experiencing these issues in real life may find it unsettling to watch.
