Sonic the Hedgehog (1993)

Princess Sally Acorn, main heroine in the show, is extremely promiscuous as she shows greater sexuality, especially when she gets along with Sonic.

Rotor is implied to be "in the closet" on this show, as well as many of the comic book series.

The child counterpart Princess Sally is shown wearing pants in "Blast from the Past" while the young woman counterpart of Sally wears none, showing throughout her pubescent groin region and legs, which would be considered as ephebophilia.

Various female characters featured are humanize animals who wear revealing clothing if they wear any at all-this carries over into the companion comic series. Crease lines of pubic, breast, and buttocks are present, leaving nothing for the imagination compared to any other Sonic media with clothed female characters.

A romantic subplot between Sonic and Sally is present during show, and they kiss occasionally. Their kiss ran for 8 seconds in one episode of season 1, which became largely known in a Saturday morning cartoon of its time.

There is continuous action scenes throughout the show that endanger the characters but no one is seriously hurt, and wounds are often gone by the following scene/episode.

There is a running gag where Dulcy the Dragon has a habit of crashlanding whilst flying, but it is used for humour and she survives in a daze.

Dr. Robotnik often verbally threatens Snively, occasionally grabbing him. In one episode, he forces Snively's head into his mouth to prove he metaphorically has no heart.

Ixis Naugus tortures Dr. Robotnik by transforming him into different animals, including a pig, forcing him to eat dirt.

Characters who are captured by Dr. Robotnik are "roboticized" (turned into robots), dying in a manner and lose their free will. Uncle Chuck is a victim of this, but later regains his mind but keeps his robot body. Dr. Robotnik and Bunnie Rabbot are partially roboticized and gain mechanical limbs.

One protagonist Ari tumbles into another dimension and is believed to be dead, but is revealed to be alive several episode later.

Dr. Robotnik's robots and weapons are routinely destroyed per episode by the heroes.

Slapstick violence is often used among the heroes, particularly Antoine D'Coolette.

In one episode, a group of cannibalistic motorbikers try to eat Antoine but he is saved unharmed.

Lots of discussions on conflicts and roboticism, which might be unsettling for younger audiences.

There is no profanity in the show, aside from playful insults (e.g. "Robuttnik").

There is no alcohol, drugs or smoking in the show.

Dr. Robotnik's pure evil attitude, voice and temper may scare younger viewers.

Ixis Naugus also shares a similar chilling voice but he is more kinder than Dr. Robotnik as a villain.

The brief viewings of characters being turned into robots may frighten viewers.
