Characters are shown nude in the original OVAs with a fair amount of frequency, breasts exposed. Much innuendo and sexual dialogue peppers the script.
The Toonami edited version (which can be found online or on VHS) removes the majority of the sexual innuendo and adds bikinis to scenes in which female characters are nude.
Violence & Gore
Mild
Some cartoon violence during the more humorous scenes, but much more intense, realistic violence occurs when the story takes a serious turn. Blood is scarce, but used in small amounts for effect.
Profanity
Mild
"Damn" and "hell" are spoken fairly frequently. "Bastard" is used on occasion.
The Toonami edited version removes all profanity.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
Mild
Ryoko is often seen drinking a bottle of sake, or Japanese wine culled from rice grains. She is shown to get drunk from it quite often.
In the Toonami edited version, Ryoko is drinking "tea" instead.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
Mild
The characters of Dr. Clay and Kagato may frighten younger audiences with their foreboding and imposing figures.
