Welcome to Mariah State Penitentiary, where every day good and evil struggle behind bars. In this tense atmosphere new deputy superintendent Ned Sheffield tries to impose innovative programs for the rehabilitation of offenders serving time. The superintendent of the prison James Malone knows the reality of Mariah. He does not believe in miracles. The danger of a rebellion by inmates is always imminent. Mariah is about to explode.
