Dear Detective (1979)

Kate Hudson's an undercover detective with the LAPD. Divorced, she's raising her daughter Lisa, while engaging in a romantic relationship with a UCLA professor. Juggling all isn't easy, especially when Kate's forced to stand up one of her loved ones to pursue a new lead or tackle a new case.
