The Owl House (2020)

Various characters have romantic crushes.

The word "hot" is used, but very rarely.

A guy takes off his shirt when giving Luz a cape and Luz seems excited about it. (Only abs are visible) However, Luz may just be excited about the fact that he is using his SHIRT for a cape. (However she did not want a cape before he took off his shirt)

Infrequent violence and gore. The first two episodes contain stabbing and beheading so far (not gory, may be comic sometimes but it's still shocking). Some other violent threats and few gory images (like when some eyelids' insides are shown).

Eda's head gets cut off in the first episode, but it's only done for laughs. There are other times in the show where Eda's limbs detach from her body, shocking the other characters.

Some episodes May contain Decapitations, Fight scenes, Dark magic, and stabbings. But the show goes From Mild gore to Moderate Violence in later episodes.

There are lots of references to blood and gore, but very little actual blood and gore.

Insults like stupid and dumb. As well as words like crud and heck.

The characters frequently make threats but rarely act on them.

In one episode, Eda, a main character nearly blurts out 'ass' but is cut off when Luz(another main character) was giving her an angry glare .

Sometimes the characters use mythical/witch-related puns as stand-ins for actual cursing, such as the lines "talk to the glyph, witch," and "thank goddess for that" respectively.

No cursing, but some name calling like "sucker", "fools", and "weirdos".

In "Understanding Willow", due to her memories (in the form of photos) being burned, Willow acts in a drunken state for the first half of the episode. This is done for laughs.

In Keeping Up A-fear-ances, Lilith and King eat ice cream that gets them to act drunk. It is implied by Hooty that it is alcoholic ice cream.

A main character, Eda, is noted drinking "apple blood", an alcoholic beverage. She also enters a pub at some points in the series.

Some episodes are very light-hearted but turn unexpectedly dark and scary at the end.

In some episodes, Eda turns into a out of control horrendous beast. This can frighten children.

The last two episodes of season 1 are more serious and may be frightening to children.

King, a monster resembling a little wolf, claims he was a 'demon king'. This may feel somewhat confusing to those who are religiously sensitive. He also later in the series talk about a castle where he was the king, referring to some of the rooms as rooms where he crushed the skulls of his enemies, and other slightly disturbing things.

In "Enchanting Grom Fright", the Grom becomes Luz's mother, and becomes angry and grotesque, which is a resemblance to Coraline. This may scare young viewers, even when the Grom yells "WHY ARE YOU RUNNING LUZ!?". The Grom may be scare to look at and hear talk.

Season 2 episode 4 may be hard to watch for viewers with parental issues.

"The Owl House" has caused a lot of controversy about supposed Satanic symbologies, but the supposed references to Satanism are only jokes that have no religious context, it is a fantasy series. They don't believe everything they see

There are many scenes in season 2 that may be emotionally distressing to viewers.

Season 3 is overall much darker and more serious than the previous 2
