Carl Jenkins is a former paratrooper, suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD). One man - three personalities. One wants to atone for the sins of his past, one is a masochist and one is a sadistic potential killer. Carl is the product of British Army experimental psychology treatment overseen by the sinister cabal, called "The Old School", who have special uses for Carl. Tina Werner was saved from an abusive life in East Germany by her grandfather Horst. She writes a book about his WWII experiences of torture as a prisoner of the British. She is drawn to a story about hoodings and mutilations taking place in London; it becomes her obsession to find the culprit.
