Frequent brutal violence including shootings, stabbings, beatings, and an implied murder. Some of these are quite graphic.

Pervasive strong language throughout the series, including dozens of f words per episode

In nearly every episode there are numerous scenes of drugs being used, sold, and transported. Many scenes of cocaine being cooked into crack and a major character becomes addicted to crack. Some characters smoke marijuana as well. Alcohol and tobacco use are shown throughout.

This show is very dark and gritty and many episodes feature extremely intense situations involving violence or the threat of violence.
