2395, Earth, ravaged by natural cataclysms and pollution, has become inhabitable. Mankind, which took refuge onboard orbital rings, is on the brink of extinction. Its only hope: find a new home planet. Therefor, mankind, now united, has build the Renaissance starship. During the inaugural trip, it is sucked into a gravitational anomaly (called later "rabbit hole", inspired by Alice in Wonderland) at the edge of the solar system. In contact with many alien races, hostiles like allied, the crew will then discover a formidable enemy: the Araneian people, with at its head, Queen Latrodecta. After a time, our travelers will discover that Latrodecta is responsible for their situation. Her aim is to catch star systems into her web: the NGC 6872 galaxy. The trap in which they fell was therefor destined to the solar system, but the Renaissance starship, with a solar core propulsion at her disposal, made them avoid the worst. Into the heart of an unknown galaxy, the Renaissance crew must now on one hand find a way home, and on another hand, fight against an unknown enemy, not even knowing there is a spy within the crew's own ranks: Professor Righorps. The first season is centered on the roots of the Renaissance's abduction and the appearance of the Araneian, destroyers of worlds. At the heart of the second season, the growing fight against the unstoppable Araneian threat, with the foundation of the Galactic Defense Council, a multi civilization military union preparing a defense at first, then a fightback facing this danger. Renaissance 2395, a futuristic science-fiction series, shows us how a spaceship crew, travelling afar into the unknown universe, will encounter then overcome many obstacles, willy-nilly uniting with unknown to barely known civilizations.
