Major Alevtina Borzova, an experienced criminal investigator and very attractive woman, is forced to take a job in a provincial city after her affair with her Moscow boss's son-in-law goes public. However the new close-knit male team is unwilling to work under the leadership of a woman. Every day the heroine has to struggle to prove her professionalism. But the unshakable and strong-willed Alevtina intends to defend her right to the new position at all costs.
