In one of the season 3 episodes, Lucas accidentally walks into a steam bath room with naked men holding towels over their torsos. He immediately says "I just threw up in my mouth" implying that he saw more than what he wanted to see.

Season 2: Karen is reading in the bathtub bare shoulders can be seen.

Season 2: Will Byers pees in the toilet twice (no explicit nudity) Will is naked under a towel while trying to get into a bath but he refuses. Will later is topless in pajama pants few times his shoulders and back are shown.

In season 2, Steve tells Billy to not cream his pants.

In season 1, jonathan is shown taking photos of nancy whilst she is at steve's house, (one being of her undressed in her bra) when he is confronted about it, steve's friends suggest that he was 'saving the photos for later'

In season 4, erica threatens to tell dustin what she found under her brother, lucas', bed. Lucas is visibly shocked and embarrassed.

Jonathan is seen in only underwear while in bed.

Johnathan and Mike are seen in their underwear in separate episodes.

Nancy and friends talk about " blow me" and virgins.

Steve and nancy make out on bed Nancy only has underwear and bra on.

Yuri says that his women make noise when he pleases them.

Mike wheeler in season 4 is shown in his underwear.

A child is strangled by a teenager, but he is stopped before he can kill the child.

Demodogs get inside a lab elevator full of people and attack and feast on them (the actual attack is not shown but you see the aftermath with a moderate amount of blood and dead bodies when the elevator arrives at the next floor).

A man is beaten in his office. First, his head is pushed and slammed into the door, breaking his nose, and he is then repeatedly punched (we only hear this from outside the locked door) and then is thrown over his desk. After this, his finger is forced into a cigar slicer and the person beating him pushes down on it almost cutting his finger, but stops after his answers are given. He is then taken hostage, but not further hurt. His face is bloody all throughout the episode.

Lots of characters are killed throughout the series, occasionally quite brutally but most of it is moderate.

In a hospital, there is a chase scene which is somewhat gory. A man is stabbed with scissors - blood spurts out. One man's nose is broken, but the blood is black. At the end, their skins melts into chunks of blood.

In the early season 1 there is a monster with an appearance which is slimy and sticky but not gory.

In season 3 two men die with their bodies melting and all their guts and blood moving by them self to form a monster. This can make any squeamish people watching feel very disgusted and horrified. Most of the show is nowhere near this gory though.

Season 4 is the goriest season. It has graphic violence with kids being killed in the first episode (this might be disturbing for some people)

A character is shown with a bloody nose frequently throughout the series.

The monsters in Stranger Things are creepy and frightening, particularly in Season 4.

Monsters in season 3.

In season 3 a character has a very graphic wound on their leg. Another character then cuts into the leg and movies his hand around under the skin. This is shown in detail and is quite graphic and pretty gory/bloody, but is mostly shown in brief glimpses with half of it focusing ont the characters reactions.

In season 3, a character is thrown into a machine and is ripped apart. Brief but easiy seen.

Seasons 1 and 2 are milder in terms of brutality, and definitely less frequent in terms of violence. However, season 3 and 4 are much more violent. There are some gory and uncomfortable scenes as the series progresses.

Season 4 is definitely the most violent. It includes 4 different people lifted up into the air by a supernatural force, and their body parts move in all different directions with the sound of bones breaking and eyeballs suddenly being pulled back into their heads. This is way more graphic than usual for the show, but is more weird and frightening than outright gory.

A monster attacks a group of men in a prison as they try and fail to fight back. Most of them are killed and while the deaths are quick, some are quite bloody.

Season 4 is the scariest season by far and maybe the most violent. Several children are murdered by floating into the air before all their limbs snap and their eyes bleed before dissapearing with blood coming out of their sockets. The combat and shooting this season is much more intense and realistic as well.

People are electrocuted in slow motion, and a pile of blood and flesh is shown. Not too graphic though.

The lab massacre scene in season 4 is the most bloodiest scene in the show so far.

Eleven kills several people using her powers, you see blood coming out of their eyes. Not too graphic but quite disturbing.

In the season 4 finale, a teenager is shown being melted in half briefly. He screams in agony and the shot pans away

A group of jocks plot to murder one of the characters due to conspiracy that he killed one of the jock's girlfriend. They arm themselves with guns and assorted melee weapons to do so.

In Season 4, 4 teenagers have their bones snapped, limbs broken, mouth fractured and eyes bleeding before their eyes get forced back into their brain.

Blood and Gore throughout.

Sometimes there are parts where you may sense gore coming, but it's either a jumpscare or something comedic.

Characters are injured and blood is seen coming out of them. There is gore and blood in all seasons but it is more severe in season four.

In season 4, a traumatic flashback is shown in which it is implied that a baby is burned alive in its cradle. We don't see the baby, but we see the burning cradle and the baby screaming. Not graphic but very upsetting.

Season 4 is by far the most graphic out of the first 4.

Not too much violence in first 3 season But in 4th season it has so many gore

It gets gorier with each season.

In season 4, a man is discussed to have slashed his own eyes years previously. The act is never shown in flashback, but he is seen with scars in present day with minor pus and clearly deep cut scars. Not insanely graphic but it is disturbing and a little freaky.

The violence is usually moderate, but in some instances it can get to be severe

This show is pretty gory throughout the series but gets worse by the season.

In season 3, a machine explodes in a lab and turns a few soldiers into steaming piles of bloody flesh.

A man is eaten alive by a demogorgon. VERY graphic and bloody. May be disturbing for some.

Children are seen dead with broken limbs and covered in blood. Could be disturbing for some.

In season 4, a teenage boy is seen choking a small child. Dead children are seen around with broken limbs and lots of blood. (VERY graphic)

In one scene a creature tears apart, smashes and devours several people. This has realistically sensible amount of gore but quite brutal.

Season 3 is the most graphic of them with people melting into viscerally gory messes and blood spatter.

In the 4th season very small children are killed by an older person. They are seen layed around a laboratory covered in blood and with broken limbs. (Very graphic)

In the third season a character gets a parasite in their leg. Another character cuts open the leg with a knife and reaches inside it. This is all shown on-screen andbis very graphic.

In season 3, a character's leg is contaminated and infected by a piece of the mind flayer. Her leg is shown pulsating. Another character cuts her leg open to try and remove the piece of the mind flayer that has become embedded in her leg; he then reaches into her leg, where his finger are shown under her skin. Very graphic.

The violence is range from Moderate to strong violence.

The violence involving the children in the first episode of season 4 pertains from a disclaimer that was seen before the episode, in which it was about the children killed in the Uvalde, Texas school shooting.

Extremely strong violence and gore. Not so much in season 1,2,3 but season 4 is by far the worst. Bones cracking, blood, fighting etc:

Moderate to Strong violence, inculding slightly frequent bloody violence, but it's only moderate amounts of blood, no gore is in the show.

Children's bones are snapped and then there eyes are poped out there is blood in other scenes people dissolve into mush there is gore and blood.

Strong gore and blood scene.

Season 3 and 4 are much very violent and gory than the first two season.

A cop is shown cutting open a dead body, to reveal his organs (Not much is seen though). No blood but a little disturbing and gross.

Jim hopper is a violent character who is shown punching and beating up other people when needed, this is shown frequently throughout the show (though it's usually bloodless still violent)

Jim hopper punches a man then grapples the man and pins him to a wall threatening him (a large bloody bruise is around the man's eye) Jim hopper eventually let's the man go and the man escapes alive.

TV-14 violence type: blood, gore, brutal and graphic.

The main antagonist in season 4 is shown to kill children by lifting them into the air and brutally breaking all of their bones as blood pours down from their eyes. This is shown to be very violent and gory and could be scary for some.

Seasons 1-3: moderate. Season 4: severe.

Whore can be heard in some episodes.

Shit is used quite frequently in every season.

In one episode Max mayfield flips off her brother.

There is about 375 uses of shit per season.

There is a total of 75 uses of ass and damn per 2 episodes.

Fuck and fucking is used once each.

Will yells the f word.

Alcohol, cannabis, and tobacco use. Characters willingly take, or are dosed with "drugs/pills" which cause them to hallucinate or pass out.

Hopper is seen with cigarettes in multiple scenes.

A character is seen with a bong. No usage of it is on screen. That same character is also almost always show high on weed.

Joyce and hopper smoke.

In season 4 argyle and Jonathan smoke weed in almost every episode.

Seasons 1 and 2 are more suspenseful than violent, but season 3 basically flips that, choosing to show much more violence and gory imagery. Season 4 follows suit of season 3, but in a more violent way. The entirety of season 3 has some gory scenes of rats and humans exploding into piles of flesh and bones and moving with gory sound effects.

The monster from season 3 can be pretty frightening, but the scariest monsters come from season 4.

The final episodes of each season are very intense, particularly in season 4.

Season 3 comes with a warning mentioning frequent use of strobe lighting throughout the season. Viewers sensitive to this type of lighting and imagery may feel uncomfortable as flashing lights of all sorts are used quite a bit.

Multiple emotionally intense seasons throughout and particularly towards the end of each season.

The ending of the season 3 is extremely emotional and melancholic.

The monsters may frighten younger viewers.

Many intense scenes where people are about to die which can put you on edge slightly. In other words, it may be funny, but it's not a light-hearted show.

Flashbacks of Eleven being kept captive by a man she calls "Papa", she is used for experiments, brainwashed and locked in windowless rooms by herself, this may be sad or disturbing to some viewers.

The main character, El, is severely bullied in season 4. Not so frightening, but can be distressing and upsetting to some. Especially, the skating scene in season 4 episode 2.

Season 4 definitely has a darker tone and is a lot more horror focused than the first 3 seasons. Both the monster and its backstory are quite unsettling.

The episodes of season 4 contain a various amounts of triggers, mentioning suicide for example. The first death catches the viewer off guard and it can be shocking. The creatures' appearances are very detailed and scary, nausea can also be caused. The murders are very detailedly shown, people's body are severely injured and snatched which can remind the viewers of exorcism. Nightmares can be caused or flashbacks due to the possibility of getting traumatized by watching.

In season 3 there is a monster made out of guts and gore which is less frightening but more disturbing and weird.

Season 4 is very gory, people get killed in very disorienting ways.

Seasons 1 - 3: Some violence and gore, not too disturbing with season three being the most gory. Season 4: More graphic violence and gore, people are killed in extremely disturbing ways throughout the entire season.

Many scenes involving children either being killed or in peril.

This is one of the most darkest and intense show of Netflix.

For teens/adults.

May be too intense for children under the age of 15.

Someone gets shot in the head in S1 E1, his dead body is shown in the next episode with cops thinking he committed suicide.

As a whole if the series were to be rated by the MPA it would be rated PG-13 for extended sequences of violence and action, frightening/disturbing images and content, including bloody images, thematic elements including suicide, drug use, drinking, and some strong language.

Season 1 centers on a boy who has been kidnapped by a mysterious creature and includes many scenes of high-tension, scary scene involved a nightmare-like landscape called the "upside down" and there are occasional jump-scares. The creatures can be frightening to younger audiences.
