When his father died, Denji was stuck with a huge debt and no way to pay it back. Thanks to a Devil dog he saved named Pochita, he's able to survive through odd jobs and killing Devils for the Yakuza. Pochita's chainsaw powers come in handy against these powerful demons. When the Yakuza betrays him and he's killed by the Zombie Devil, Pochita sacrifices himself to save his former master. Now Denji has been reborn as some kind of weird Devil-Human hybrid. He is now a Chainsaw Man!

Contains every type of gore: decapitation, mutilation, dismemberment, shock deaths, etc. Blood and guts are shown, and the main characters aren't exempt from death and gore.

Since the main character uses chainsaws as weapons, some deaths are prolonged rather than quickly shown as it takes time to completely grind through an enemy.

Two characters get in a street fight. There is punching and kicking with a realistic amount of blood. It should be noted that this is not a clean fight, with nut shots and face shots made.

A boy is hit on the head by a hammer and dragged away, leaving a trail of blood.

Every time the main character turns into chainsaws, he gets cut up by his own chainsaws. As you can imagine, this spatters blood everywhere.

In Episode 3, a devil is chopped up, with guts and blood going everywhere. Very gory.

There is a graphic slow-motion of a boy's arm being blasted off.

Episode 4 has a prolonged fight on top of the remnants of a previous battle, said battle leaving organs everywhere. The characters are quite literally slipping and sliding on organs as they fight. In fact, one character picks up a fist full of organs and uses it like a rope to trip an enemy.

A boy participates in a long battle with a severed arm. The bloody stump is detailed and it is shown onscreen for a lengthy amount of time.

Episode 9 has the most violence and gore so far. People are crushed to death by an unseen force, and the aftermath is gory.

Two characters are simultaneously cut in half horizantally, with the top halves of their bodies falling bloodily.

The anime has lots of extremely graphic and gory violence and body horror throughout. Chainsaws (the main character for context), axes, swords, guns, and other weapons are used.

In one episode, two semi-immortal characters are killed repeatedly as part of their "training". It involves knives getting embedded in heads, throats slashed, and violent beatings. The whole ordeal is bloody and brutal.

This is easily one of the most violent anime series ever created in recent years.
