The Captain Gus Show (1953)

"The Captain Gus Show" was a hosted children's television show with Joe Alston as "Captain Gus" on KENS-TV Channel 5 in San Antonio, Texas. The show which ran from 1953 to 1979; showcased "Popeye" cartoons, From 1976 until 1979, "Captain Gus" was assisted by "First Mate Mortimer" played by Dennis DuPriest, who passed away in 2012.
