Two hundred days a year. The average amount of rainy days in Belgium. As an outdoor athlete, you would know what to expect. MUD is a five-episode documentary series about five athletes dedicating their life to such a sport. Very often the athletes are overshadowed by bigger talents or have had their portion of bad luck during their career. Some of them grew up around muddy fields, others moved to Belgium to follow their dream. We follow them while they prepare themselves for the race of the year and come to realize that success doesn't come without a price. They who reach for the stars, have to go through the mud first.
