Four homeless persons accommodated at the hostel Sundholm in Copenhagen meet and discuss literature. Through eight programs, the viewers get up close to the lives and minds of the reading group members, and get to hear their liberatingly honest, touching and astute reviews of the novels and poetry collections they read and discuss. It sounds like a scene from a social report, but it is a foretaste of Mikael Bertelsen and Mads Brügger's new non-traditional literature program on DR2. In October 2010, the well-known TV partner couple set up a reading group for socially disadvantaged people in Copenhagen to see what happens when you put homeless people to read, discuss and review fiction. A total of four homeless people volunteered: Anita, Michael, Edmund and Rahim.
