Amplify (2020)

In each episode of AMPLIFY an Indigenous musician from Canada is asked to write a new song about a specific source of Indigenous inspiration (eg. book, artwork, teaching). An Indigenous director is paired with this songwriter to document the process, deep-diving into the inspiration and then creating a music video that caps their episode off. This 13 episode, 22-minute anthology documentary series is about amplifying Indigenous music, communities, and stories while exploring the beautiful connection between inspiration and creativity. The first season of AMPLIFY premiered on APTN in 2020; the second season is currently in production (2022) and will premiere on APTN in the Fall of 2023.
