Pubs are usually doorways to other realms only if one has drunk beyond acceptable limits. This bar in Kyoto is actually a portal to another realm whose inhabitants come through and become patrons of Nobu, the establishment, and this world. While that is different, the variety of folks from the commoner to nobility who visit is par for the course.
