The Desva and the Ahitey are two rival families, fighting for the control of cocoa trade in the Caodji region. Each family is headed by unscrupulous patriarchs : the influential and wealthy Elie Desva from the Ivorian cocoa aristocracy, and the crude and wild self-made man, Jean Ahitey.
